Liberals are finally embracing the notion that people should be judged on their merits, not their race. Unfortunately, it only applies to Condoleezza Rice.

Tracy, they were probably thinking something like, "Let's see, which of these two people will I choose, neither of whom have earned the presidency on their merits?" The primary/caucus systems of both parties are hardly merit-based, so until that changes....

Good question. Why DID all those people vote for Kerry in November? I guess some people don't take merit into consideration. :-)
