Vacations for moonbats
So you want to go on vacation, but you're a socially conscious progressive who grows absolutely faint at the very thought of exploiting the environment or indigenous peoples and cultures? Well help is on the way, in the form of "The Ethical Travel Guide" (printed on 100% post-consumer recycled glossy paper, no doubt.)
I think this is a great idea. I'm sick and tired of coming back from vacation tanned, rested and guilt-ridden for supporting the exploitative, Euro-centric post-colonial geo-economic patriarchy. Next year I think I'll just go to Rwanda and hold a snake.
Comments
You can stay in New Jersey and "hold a snake," but I'll have to charge you $20.

aww at least they aren't being too sanctimonious about it. i think most of the intentions of the green movement are great, and that it really seems to be kicked into gear with all this oil/gas hysteria lately.
all of a sudden solar power, windfarms, nuclear, etc are totally awesome, whereas not long ago all of this was either unrealistic, unaffordable, or possibly unsafe. now at $70+ a barrel it's the dog's nadz. The birds are whistling...flowers are blooming...organic champagne corks a-poppin.
They even had Rob DelBueno (Coco the Electric Monkey Wizard from Man or Astroman) on the radio with Clark Howard tonight, talking up his Biodiesel masterplan.
It's some sort of paradigm goin on...

I agree with Ortho. Yes, the Greens are a little strange, marginal. But we can learn from them.
In fact those who take an extreme position usually have some element of truth to their arguments. That truth tends to rise to the top - rise through the propaganda.
As long as we remain open to other views, we can benefit from ideas of those on the margins.
Just a thought.

I have to say that I thought it was wonderful when those high school and college kids used their spring vacations to go to New Orleans and work on Habitat for Humanity projects. It made me all verklempt. :)

The "conservative" can spend their endless vacations shooting each other in the face, like the Bush/Cheney Drunk Hunt.
In fact, I just wish they would improve their aim and use more powerful weapons.

"In fact, I just wish they would improve their aim and use more powerful weapons." anony-MOUSE
Are you suggesting we go to shooting ranges, improve our aims, get bigger guns and go out and hunt Liberals?
Mmmmm OK.
