I'm done with McLame
I never thought I would say this, but John McCain has now irretrievably lost any chance whatsoever of getting my vote. He's disappointed me in the past, but with policy statements such as this one, there's no coming back.

Well, ANYone who'd veto every single BEER has got to be a real "Nanny State Liberal."
I can't believe he's actually running on that platform. Must be a play to get Bllomberg to consider the VP slot.
Although....I do want a President to "veto every Bill with earmarks!"
Is that a promise McCain or anyone could keep?
As they say in Jolly Olde England, "Not bloody likely."

Barry,
I think you are right to abandon him. Even if you win the bet about the case of beers that we have, he would veto it. By the way, did we ever agree on what kind of beers are we betting? Any particular preference? If I win I want a case of Foster's :-)

How about a nice of Belgian beer, say, "Budweiser"?

You got it. I wish I could get my hands on the *real* stuff, the ones that are actually brewed in Australia.

Actually, I had visited Australia few years ago and had tried the *real* one. It is certainly THE best. But the American version here is great too.

Just an aside, I CAN'T believe that BW actually drinks (gulp) BEER!
A little butch for you, no?
I'd have guessed, white wine spritzer....who knew?
Country music and beer...staples of Blue Collar Conservatives everywhere.
Maybe there's hope for BW yet.....First BEER, then country music....then Conservatism....
You never can tell about such things.

Sorry, your views seem more consistent with a wine cooler drinker.
And I say that very happy to hear that you're a beer drinker!
